SEC Backs Down on Claiming SOL, ADA, MATIC, other tokens are securities

The SEC has retracted its request for a court ruling to classify tokens such as Solana, Cardano, Polygon and others as securities, meaning the agency is longer asking the court to decide whether certain tokens are securities. The retraction of this request follows presidential candidates’ attempts to win over pro-crypto US voters, with Trump pledging to end the war on crypto as part of his election campaign, and incumbent Vice President Kamala Harris contacting crypto companies to repair the party’s ties to the crypto industry.

Europe’s 4th Largest Hedge Fund Discloses $500M Bitcoin ETF Holdings

The fourth largest hedge fund in Europe, Capula Management, recently disclosed $500 million in spot Bitcoin ETF holdings in a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. The move arrives just days after Morgan Stanley recently allowed 15,000 wealth advisers to offer clients Spot Bitcoin ETFs.
